Bat World New Jersey, a non-profit bat sanctuary, is a regional center of Bat
World Sanctuary of Mineral Wells, Texas. Its primary goal is the rescue and
rehabilitation of bats of New Jersey. It provides direct hands-on rehabilitation
of injured bats, as well as raising orphaned bat pups, with the ultimate goal
being the release back into the wild of these bats.
Other important goals are
protecting wild bats and colonies from abuse and destruction, as well as
increasing public awareness about the benefits bats provide to our environment.
