Established in 1957, the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies is the only
national charity working on behalf of and representing humane societies and
SPCAs in Canada. CFHS represents over 100 member societies and branches in
every province. Acting as a national voice on animal welfare issues, CFHS is
committed to putting an end to animal suffering and works with the public,
governments, industry groups, the scientific community, educators and the media
on both the national and local levels toward this end. Our mission is to
promote compassion and humane treatment for all animals.
