Every detail of the 20-room EcoLodge is designed for maximum comfort and minimum
environmental impact. Energy efficiency and passive energy-conserving
strategies are responsive to the local climate.
The EcoLodge deeply reflects
traditional Cree values and skills. The landmark Shabotowan Great Hall, based
on a traditional Cree dwelling structure, serves seasonally available Aboriginal
cuisine that includes naturally harvested wild rice, berries and maple syrup.
As Aboriginal people, we believe we are naturally situated to act as your hosts
of the natural world.
