Welcome to Earnest Efforts natural woodworking where we
live in our 1880's turkey shed surrounded by the cozy woods of Olalla Valley in
SW Oregon and handcraft our natural wood baby rattles/ teethers, spirit shakers
& wood boxes all made from sustainably harvested woods.
Our handcrafted natural wood baby rattles are a safe,
natural alternative to plastic toys and developmentally appropriate for babies
age 4 months and older.� We have been sharing our rattles with babies for over
twenty-five years in baby stores across the USA, Canada, Australia &
Sweden.
Babies & Mother Earth
are our most precious gifts and that's why we use the materials we have chosen.�
Each rattle is handcrafted from sustainably harvested Oregon woods and filled
with copper-coated steel bbs for the lovely, rich sound of the rattle.� We
always use a certified non-toxic wood glue and finish all of our woodworking
with Clapham's Beeswax Salad Bowl Finish.� We NEVER use stains.� We sand each
rattle smooth to 320 grit for a perfect, splinter-free surface for
teething.

Our natural wood baby rattles have been
3rd party tested.� They are lead,
phthalate, and formaldehyde free and comply with all CPSIA federal regulations
including the ASTM F963 standards for toys intended for children under age
three.
