"In many ways, what students get in one [Ecosa] semester is a more holistic
understanding of sustainability than they could presently get at any traditional
design school." --American Institute of Architects 2006 Report on the
Environment The Ecosa Institute offers spring and fall semester programs in
Sustainable Design and summer workshops in Permaculture and Alternative
Materials and Methods of Construction. Through field trips, lectures, guest
speakers and projects, students participating in our programs learn how to
create feasible, practicable change for a sustainable society. Our educational
philosophy is wholistic, interdisciplinary and hands-on. Recommended for design
students, professionals and others interested in ensuring a sustainable future.
"To educate students who can integrate human aspirations and nature's
systems...." -- Tony Brown, Founder and Director of the Ecosa Institute
