We are three farmers with a vision to provide our community with the best of our
region�s bounty while caring for the earth, water, and people that make it all
possible.ince our beginning days in 2002, we have made it a policy to examine
our resource consumption and conserve water in our irrigation practices. In
pursuit of sustainability and our own ecological consciousness, Freewheelin�
works to decrease it�s petroleum consumption on all aspects of the farm: from
reusing old drip tape year after year, to building farm structures with
reclaimed lumber, and ultimately, as per our namesake, to delivering our local
CSA shares by bicycle & trailer.
Our CSA begins in May and continues through
mid-November. We provide over 40 different crops over the 25 week season,
bringing you 8-12 different items each week. We serve the Santa Cruz area all by
bicycle and make weekly deliveries to San Francisco and the East Bay as well.
