Glen Highland Farm, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the
rescue of abandoned and unwanted border collies and border collie mixes. These
dogs are frequently victims of neglect and abuse.� At the Farm, they are
evaluated, spayed/neutered, treated medically where necessary, rehabilitated
socially and eventually placed into new homes.
In addition, GHF fosters the
human/animal bond through new levels of awareness and connections�to the heart,
particularly promoting the principles of non-violence between children and their
environment,�through work with the rescue dogs. GHF has created a unique summer
camp program for inner city children that unites them with the border collies in
an integrated work, study, and play program that teaches the children positive,
loving and humane methods of basic animal care and training.� With their
experience at GHF comes a new level of self-esteem.�
