The Green Urban Living Center (GULC) is a new initiative of Miami Dade College's
North Campus. Established in June of 2007, GULC is part of the School of
Community Education of Miami Dade College. GULC's mission is to:
Promote
Environmental Awareness
Promote Community Health and Self-Care
Provide
ongoing "Green Collar" professional training in new and emerging industries
In order to accomplish out objectives, GULC offers classes available to the
public. Classes range from environmental education to healthy cooking to natural
self care. We offer programs to groups and schools, as well as classes for both
kids and adults. We have a beautiful nature garden including organic vegetable
garden, butterfly garden, and more. As we grow and develop, GULC will also seek
to offer community workshops, speakers, and special events at our center.
