Description:

|
Organic Certification Coordinator, Hilo, Hawaii. Position includes benefits and
flexible hours, and is based in our (Big Island) office. Responsible for
management and day-to-day operations of HOFA organic certification program.
Duties include management of USDA NOP accredited program, supervision and
evaluation of inspectors who perform site inspections of organic production and
processing facilities, planning, development and administration organic
certification service for more than 150 producers, communication with
certification committee, maintenance of producer files and data tracking
systems, preparation of correspondence, compliance decisions, certificates, and
participate in some educational outreach. Knowledge of organic agricultural
systems, training and experience in organic crop, processing inspection are
required, livestock inspection desirable.
