High Mowing is a Waldorf High School for boarding and day students. Up to 120
students (grades 9-12)attend the school, which offers Organic Horticulture and
Naturalist programs and classes in Culinary Arts as electives, to encourage
personal health and respect for the natural world. An engaging and challenging
curriculum integrates academics, arts, music and drama.
Students and faculty
enjoy freshly prepared organic meals, with vegetarian and meat-inclusive
options, in a home-like atmosphere. Day student tuition includes snack and
lunch.
High Mowing enrolls students from many states in the union and from
international countries. Students come to High Mowing from Waldorf elementary
and middle schools, Montessori and other independent schools and from public
schools. Home-schooled students also find High Mowing an excellent choice for
their high school years.
