abuse. The group serves animals and people by educating the community in regard
to the humane and ethical treatment of animals, provides for the care and
sheltering of animals, and promotes responsible adoption and care of animals.
The society provides shelter and care for lost, abused, or unwanted animals and
makes an effort to return animals to their owners or place them in loving and
responsible homes.
