IBBR specializes in rehabilitating & releasing orphaned black bear cubs.
Our program started in 1989 when bear rehab was not considered possible. We also
work with other state wildlife agencies, receiving cubs from OR, WA, WY, CA,
& UT. IBBR covers all expenses while the cubs are in rehab. We release all
cubs in their home state. Depending on when cubs arrive, we use two release
methods: spring release in late May or denning in December. IBBR is a 501(c)3
organization, licensed by the Idaho Dept of Fish & Game. We do not receive
any state or federal funding & operate by donation only.
