After we lost the Jackson county commission vote to stop pound seizure in 2004,
our group was formed to stop the selling of lost and homeless stray pets from
our county shelter to places where they may end up in research.
This policy
puts all of our pets at risk since pets have been accidentally sold to research
before in places that allow pound seizure. Research was found showing a 56%
drop in dog bites when pound seizure is stopped which helps protect our children
too who are often victims of dog bites. The National Animal Control Association
is against pound seizure! See our website!!
