I am a certified Bradley Method ® Chilbirth Educator and DONA certified birth
doula teaching Natural Childbirth classes and attending births in both hospital
and homebirth settings in Boulder, CO.
My Bradley Method ® classes focus on
the pregnancy and birth process as a state of wellness: centered on the
knowledge that all aspects of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum are
delicately interwoven.
The emphasis of the class is on equipping the pregnant
woman and her partner with the many tools that can help them achieve a beautiful
and natural delivery. Topics include nutrition, exercise, gestation, stages of
labor, natural coping techniques, positive positions, delivery, breastfeeding,
newborn babies, postpartum, etc.
The focus of my teaching and support is on
prevention to avoid unnecessary intervention. The ultimate goal of the class and
my doula support is optimal health and wellness for both mother and baby.
