Middle Valley Lumber llc is a one man opperated sawmill run by Travis Ruhland of
Califon, NJ. I am a self taught proffesional with over 10 years of experience.
All logs are locally harvested through strict forestry managment plans,
salvaged, rescued, and recovered. Every log is sawn for it's best
characteristics and individual value one at a time. MVL produces about 150,000
board feet per year and 75% of this material is harvested within a 15 mile
radius of the sawmill. I specialize in Black Locust and Eastern Red Cedar
naturaly rot resistant green building materials, both an excellent local
replacement to toxic pressure treated and rain forest materials.
I also have a
select inventory consisting of over 60,000 board feet of rare north american
hardwoods. My work and materials have found there way into Central Park, NYC,
Thomas Edison's home estate, The Willow School, and The Pingry School.I have
completed a vast and diversified portfolio through major north east architects
