Since 1992 cattle at Moonstone have been selected from a hardy, crossbred lineage and
raised on our "salad bar" pastures. During the grazing season they are moved onto fresh
forages every few days to insure optimum nutrition and animal health. We are committed to
resting pastures to allow for plant recovery and re-growth. Winter finds the herd enjoying
our own grass and alfalfa hay.
