New Vocations provides a safety-net for retiring racehorses offering
rehabilitation, socialization, and evaluation prior to placement in carefully
screened and monitored homes. Both Standardbreds and Thoroughbreds are
accepted. Adopters must be experiencd and willing to transition the horse into
a new career. There is a two year commitment. Horses may not be sold or
transfered during that time. Adoption fees range from $0 - $700.
