In 1997 I opened my training facility based on the philosophy of reinforcement
based training and the "whole dog approach". (I was fka Happy Tails To You).
My formal background is in early childhood education, more specifically
kindergarten readiness (what is today's 4 year old kindergarten). Pawsitively
Unleashed! was created to offer high quality education opportunities for pet
owners in order to help dogs remain in their homes, as the well-mannered
companions they can be.
In 2011 I graduated from the Companion Animal
Science Institute's (diploma program) Animal Behavior Technology program (Canine
Aggression emphasis), enabling me to offer formal behavior consults with owner's
and their dogs in the hopes of
keeping them from being surrendered.
My
philosophy is simple...training methods based on real science and not ego are
the best way to not only help your dog understand what is expected, but it
creates a life long bond! Owner education of dog training keeps dogs forever in
the home!
