Planet Drum was founded in 1973 to provide an effective grassroots approach
to ecology that emphasizes sustainability, community self-determination and
regional self-reliance. Through workshops, field trips, presentations, and
publications PD guides local individuals in finding new ways to live within the
natural confines of their bioregions so that all residents are informed and
engaged in the life of their communities to preserve and restore the natural
environment for people, plants, and animals.�
