Marlene Bergman has lived in Gunnison Colorado for the past 18 years with a
short time in Missoula Montana. Marlene views pregnancy and childbirth as a
normal, natural life-event which in most situations will proceed beautifully
without intervention. She believes in birth as a family-centered experience.
The midwife�s role is to guide and support the process while enhancing the
family�s power of unity. The initial visit can last from one to two hours and
is free. This is the family�s opportunity to ask questions and discuss any
