Saving Paws Animal Rescue Inc. is a newly formed 501 (c)(3) nonprofit
organization dedicated to saving homeless, abandoned and special needs pets in
Northeast Wisconsin. We are completely volunteer-run and funded solely by
private donations. We primarily care for cats and kittens at this time, but we
also accept other small domesticated animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, birds
and turtles. We typically have 50 to 75 cats and kittens at our shelter at any
given time. We have 6-10 dogs at any given time out in foster care. We are also
a sanctuary and have lifetime residents that would otherwise be put down at
other shelters.
Saving Paws began with Michelle McRae. Michelle has cared for
homeless pets for more than fifteen years on her own. With the help of a small
group of animal lovers, we have come together to help even more pets in need by
forming this nonprofit organization.
