We're dedicated to the rescue of abandoned and abused potbellied pigs.
Shepherd's Green is located 80 miles east of Nashville, TN. Its mission is to
provide a safe refuge for abandoned and abused pigs, and to increase the
effectiveness of pig rescue and placement through networking, marketing programs
and media coverage. We provide lifetime care for the over 300 pigs in the
sancatuary. We have Outreach programs to assist pigs in distress nationwide and
a website that is very well known for its quality of care information.
Our
intern Program is designed for vet students and others intersted in animal
welfare and the operation of a sanctuary. The Intern program can be found on
line at the sanctuary website.
We are currently looking for a permanent part
time assistant. Private off site living accomdations provided.
