We work with just a few animals at a time, and offer foster-based care to get a
better idea of each pet's needs. We work with special needs as well as bonded
pairs, and have experienced fosters for exotic pets (chinchillas, ferrets,
turtles, etc). We do not euthenize for space or due to treatable and/or
maintainable issues. We adopt only to homes within the state of Minnesota and
require a home check, vet reference, and home check in addition to an adoption
contract and adoption fee. We do require that any pet we adopt out be returned
if the adoptive home can't or won't keep them. We provide vaccinations,
microchipping, and spay/neuter for every animal prior to adoption. Animals that
are ineligible for spay/neuter surgery are adopted out on non-breeding contracts
and will not be adopted to homes with animals of the opposite gender. Our
rescue is 100% self-sustained. We do not receive grants or outside funding.
All funding comes from our fosters, adoption fees, donations, and sales of
donated items.
