Sixteen Hands Horse Sanctuary is located off SR 64 at the
Manatee / Hardee County line.� We were formed as non profit in september of
2007. Currently 16 Hands is home to over 20 permanent resident horses. The
sanctuary is unique in that we do not adopt out the horses to private homes, we
offer a lifetime sanctuary so the horse never have to suffer abuse or neglect in
their lifetime. We offer educational programs for; these programs are designed
to teach responisblity, respect, and commitment to all living creatures and
specifically the horse. One of the most important services we offer is
knowledge.�� Volunteers are always needed:� We need people for facility
maintenance, grooming horses, offsite fundraisers, onsite fundraisers and much
more!
