Historic New England dairy farm located on the outskirts of Portland, Maine.
Operating since the 1700's. Smiling Hill Farm is an intensive, rotational
grazing farm that produces milk and processes dairy products at the farm. Fluid
milks and creams including flavored milks (chocolate, coffee, blueberry,
strawberry, orange creme, vanilla creme, eggnog, banana) are available in
re-usable, recyclable, returnable, old-fashioned glass bottles that are GREAT
for preserving taste and protecting the environment. Smiling Hill Farm also
produces ice cream and the ice cream stand is open to the public year-round.
The farm is also host to the award-winning artinsinal cheese makers, Silvery
Moon Creamery. Silvery Moon produces a selection of soft and hard cheeses as
well as cultured dairy products like yogurt and creme freche. Smiling Hill Farm
also produces butter which is sold at the farm. In the winter months Smiling
Hill Farm offers Cross County Skiing to the public with over 20 kms of trails
