The Vegetarian Network of Austin was founded in 1996, providing opportunities
for people with all levels of interests in vegetarianism to gather, learn about
and find resources for the movement, and of course have great food. We have
monthly vegan potlucks, monthy restaurant visits, food classes, host/participate
in the annual Lone Star Vegetarian Network's Vegetarian Chili Cook-Off,
participate in the semi-annual Gathering Of The Tribes, and more. We produce a
12-page bi-monthly newsletter, Austin Vegetarian Living, that covers local and
national vegetarian news, events, recipes, and other information pertaining to
vegetarianism such as educational articles and interviews.
