  APL’s mine site, near Red Lake, BC, is the only Diatomaceous Earth mine in Canada and believed to be one of only two of its kind in the world! Containing a natural blend of diatomaceous earth and calcium montmorillonite, this material is used to manufacture various environmentally friendly products including our highly sought after Red Lake Diatomaceous Earth and barn and stall deodorization and ammonia management products.

   APL strives to be a leader in environmentally conscious options by producing eco-friendly products using only the natural materials found at our mine sites and has successfully had several products certified by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) for use in organic production. In doing so, Absorbent Products is able to help reduce the amount of chemicals and anti-biotics used by livestock and agricultural producers as well as consumers in the pet and industrial markets.
