Energy efficiency and passive energy-conserving strategies are responsive to the local climate. The EcoLodge deeply reflects traditional Cree values and skills. The landmark Shabotowan Great Hall, based on a traditional Cree dwelling structure, serves seasonally available Aboriginal cuisine that includes naturally harvested wild rice, berries and maple syrup.
