  Desert Doula Birth & Postpartum Services offers experienced certified doulas. All of our doulas are passionate about women and birth; some are also nurses, massage therapists, childbirth educators, and lactation educators, and mothers. We believe that to be a doula is to work harmoniously with a woman and her family as they welcome a new life into their own. We actively support every family’s birth experience by providing education, empowerment, and support. We honor the individuality of each woman’s birth wishes and embrace her during her unique journey into motherhood. We are proud to offer the following Assigned Birth Doula Services: An initial consultation and prenatal interview. Guidance in preparing your birth plan. Availability to answer questions about your pregnancy, the upcoming birth, breastfeeding, or other concerns. Assistance in outlining options for labor and delivery. 24/7 support and availability (all doulas carry pagers/cell phones). Early labor support at home or at your final birth location. Attendance and support at the birth (home, birth center, hospital) and immediate postpartum care. Assistance with the initiation of breastfeeding. A follow-up postpartum visit within 2 weeks after your baby's birth to process your birth experience, provide newborn/new mom information and support and a personally written story of your baby's birth.
