  Hello, my name is James Benda.  I'm a custom cabinetmaker working in and around Southwest Minneapolis.  I began my career fifteen years ago doing finish work and cabinetry in expansive, custom, timber-frame homes in Creede, Colorado.  Back to Mpls in 2001, I started my own business designing and building custom cabinetry and furniture using sustainable lumber and environmentally friendly finish products.  For example, on my current project, the bamboo plywood I'm using is FSC certified (indicating sustainable harvest practices), meets SCS production standards for indoor air quality (earning Indoor Advantage Gold Certification), and uses soy-based adhesives, which are urea and formaldehyde free.  I welcome you to look at my website and contact me with any questions.
