  Our Story

  While visiting a friend’s alpaca farm in her hometown of Clarence, NY, our founder, Holly Henderson had one of her first experiences with alpacas. Feeling the soft and lush alpaca fiber, what was a slight joke "One day I'll make something out of their fleece!", became a reality as her interest in and initial experiments with the natural alpaca fiber yielded beautiful results.  After further research and testing, Holly decided to combine her over 30 years in the industry as a fashion illustrator, knitwear designer, tech expert with her love of animals, nature and Made-In-USA initiatives, and launched Simply Natural Clothing in 2011.  Translating these qualities into an heirloom quality line of accessories and garments that emphasize beauty, quality and durability has been not only a natural fit, but a labor of love, as well.

   

  About Our Clothing

  By combining eco-friendly resources with innovative technology, we design and produce clothing and fashion accessories entirely in the United States. Our pledge is to help make sustainable fashion and textile developments the mainstream instead of the exception, having environmental, social as well as economic impacts.

  Founded on a set of principles that include complete transparency in business operations and noticeable simplicity, our farm-to-consumer concept begins at the organic fiber level with the premier resource being alpaca fleece.  Sheared direct from the animal, the fleece is then spun into yarn, designed, and made into apparel.  By combining styles with causes, Simply Natural Clothing enables consumers to choose a style, purchase it and feel good that they get a great product and through each purchase, identify with and support a worthy cause, as well.
