Planted in the 1890's, Our 100+ yr.old Gravensteins,Jons, Greenings have 30 ft.tree canopies with 9ft. trunk circumferences and are still in active production; hanging out and breathing, individually producing 250,000 apples in the 100 years of right-earth livelihood. These trees, impressive and efficient rainbow-colored solar collectors take very little from the sun and earth and give back generously, a lesson in security and significance,(Not double lines thru an S).
