  Do you want to amble through olive groves and Andalucian White Villages, walk historic routes, discover Moorish castles, wade though rocky canyons, stroll in the shade of forest trails, scramble limestone ridges, snowshoe winter trails, explore remote mountain valleys, trek up Mulhacen the highest point in mainland Spain. Based on the southern slopes of Spains Sierra Nevada in the spa town of Lanjaron, the gateway to the Alpujarra we are 25km south of Granada. Martin Riley who runs The Life of Riley is a qualified International Mountain Leader (IML) and the first British guide to become a member of the Spanish Mountain Guides Associacion. Martin has long experience of working and playing in the hills and mountains. Walking and climbing in the UK and Europe for over 30 years and having lived and worked in Lanjaron since 2005 he has an extensive knowledge of the region’s mountains and wildlife. Prior to living in Spain he managed a Countryside Ranger service and an activity centre in the north of England.
