Providing care and a home for life to over 400 rescued animals, both domestic and ex-farm. Run single handed by Fiona Oakes, there are 35 Horses, 36 Dogs (all live in the house) 45 Cats, 53 Pigs, 30 Sheep, 18 Goats, 4 Cows & numerous smaller animals and birds. Fiona was made a patron of the charity CAPS in 2007 along with Jay Kay. It costs >£5200 a month to feed the rescues & just over half this is met through the donations of the 200 supporters of the sanctuary. The Sanctuary is desperate for further support and as it is not run as a business EVERY penny donated goes towards the feed costs - nothing is deducted to cover admin, salaries, rent or other expense.
