GO ELECTRIC sells all-electric, rechargeable, moped-style bikes. Ride 25 to
30 miles on a charge (depends on load & terrain) without using the optional
pedals. You can even ride a passenger. The top speed is 20 mph. Delaware and
Virginia require no driver license, tags or insurance. Maryland requires a
license but no tags, like a moped. Check state and local laws, which vary.
Electric bikes and motor scooters are efficient and cheap to operate, recharging
in 4 to 6 hours from regular house current on 1 kWh (11 cents) of electricity.
The motor is maintenance free, protected inside the wheel hub. Occasional
regular bicycle maintenance, like tire pressure or adjustment of the
bicycle-style hand brakes, can be done by any bike mechanic or do it yourself to
keep your Green Flyer flying for years to come. Perfect for beach towns,
commutes, errands, and campuses. It can park anywhere a regular bicycle can
park. Why battle that long line of cars when you can scoot in and out freely on
a Green Flyer?
