A doula gives informational,physical and emotional support during their
pregnancy, labor & delivery and postpartum.
Research has shown that the
presence of a doula lowers the incidence of medical interventions. Women who
have had continous labor support have shorter labors, less need for forceps, a
lower risk of a cesarean section and interact more favorably with their
newborns.
Why Hire A Doula

then assits in achieving the birth experience desired.

doesn't leave during shift change and provides one on one care that medical
staff cannot give due to caring for other patients.
