My personal belief is that my Job is to assist the laboring mom and partner to
have the best possible birth experience. I have been trained to effectively
provide emotional and physical comfort measures (breathing techniques and
positions to ease pain), and informational support. I completely support the
mother's choice whether she decides to have medication or not. I will
communicate with hospital staff in a professional and friendly manor to help to
facilitate your birthing goals and be your advocate. As your Doula, I am
committed to providing non-medical support and advocacy before, during and after
your childs birth. My role is to enhance your birth experience by providing the
services described below. My services will include:
prenatal and postpartum
visits in your home or an agreed upon location
practicing labor support
techniques
birth plan counseling
uninterrupted attendance at your birth
physical and emotional support during labor
massage during labor
