CARE was founded in July 2004 and is dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights
of all animals. CARE focuses on many aspects of animal rights, including animals on
factory farms, in laboratories, in the fur trade, and in the entertainment industry. We
also work on a variety of other issues, including companion animal issues and wildlife.
CARE works through public education, research, animal rescue, legislation, and special
events. Plant-based diets (vegetarian/vegan) are encouraged as alternatives to animal
sources.
